If you have not heard of Bandelettes, you are missing out!! I ran across Bandelettes while randomly looking for cures for chafing. I have always been blessed with thick thighs, which of course, also meant chafing. Chafing happens to the best of us, and happens to those with legs of all sizes.
You can have the most adorable summer dress and it be completely ruined by the unbearable pain from all that friction. It does not matter if you have a thigh gap, thighs that barely touch, or if you are like me and your thick thighs are no joke, these little wonders are the cure.
I have found a couple remedies to prevent the horrible thigh rub. If you are not a fan of deodorant or baby powder, or if you want a more fashionable, sexy and inconspicuous remedy, look no further than Bandelettes. Check out my Bandelettes review below to see why I absolutely love this product as the ultimate leg chafing cure.
What Are Bandelettes?
Bandelettes are essentially the top section of your stockings, but with a sexy twist and a thin line of silicone liner to prevent slipping. They come in black, white, beige, red romance, and chocolate. Also, they come in lacy designs as well as solid Bandelettes for unisex (YES, chafing does not discriminate against men!).
How To Pick Your Bandelettes
When determining your size of Bandelettes, make sure you measure the fullest part of your thighs. If you feel like you are in between sizes, chose the smaller size. If the Bandelettes are too large, they will not work properly and they will roll down.
When putting on the Bandelettes, make sure that you put them on with the silicon lining towards your skin. Place the Bandelettes high on your thigh to prevent them from rolling down. This may take some practice to get them in your comfort zone, but once you find that sweet spot you are good to go and they will stay up very well.
My Personal Review
I have worn them everywhere from a quick happy hour meeting with the girls, to mile long walks down Venice beach, and they are still working just as they did from day one. When you are walking for a long distance, with constant movement, they may roll down slightly and you will need to try and adjust if possible. I will warn you, I have tried to workout with them, and if you begin to sweat, you will see more rolling that normal. If you plan to workout in them, I would recommend the solid options.
I fell in love with my Bandelettes, which in turn meant that I wore them constantly. If you are very active, or if you live in the heat, you will get hot and they will become damp at times. The only way to wash them is by hand with some light soap/detergent and then let them air dry. If you want a quick freshen up I would suggest baby or feminine wipes. After some time, with the lacy option, you may start to get those little fuzz balls on the areas that rub more, but I have yet to have any tear or cause an issue with the bands.
The best thing about Bandelettes is that they do exactly what they are meant to do – prevent chafing. I can easily say that I have had zero chafing while wearing these beauties. I would occasionally have to adjust them if I was wearing them for a long duration, but other than that they were good to go.
One of my favorite parts about these adorable chafing stoppers, besides their purpose, is that they are also fashion accessories. I have come to find that when I wear them under my dresses I have a little extra added flare and sexy appeal to my outfit.
